An All-American in track and field, this cover girl was also a Jr. Olympic record holder and gold medalist and a collegiate scholarship athlete before becoming a published author and co-writing the feature film, “I’m Not Ashamed” (2016). Philipa is also the writer for the feature film “8 DAYS” (www.8daysfilm.org), which was made to fight human trafficking and has been featured numerous radio and television shows including Steve Harvey. Philipa's mission with After Eden Pictures is to transform culture through uplifting entertainment. She is a sought after speaker for schools, churches and events and is passionate about inspiring and commissioning people to be who God called them to be.

Katie Walker

Actress. Model. Speaker.

​​Katie Walker grew up in Shreveport, LA and at an early age she began her love walk with Jesus Christ.  She graduated from Louisiana State University in Kinesiology/Cardiac Rehabilitation. She has been an active participant and fundraiser with Major League Baseball during her husband’s twelve year MLB career including working with the Boston Redsox and Chicago Cubs. Katie has always had a love for acting. She is an avid actress and is drawn to projects that portray a purpose and message especially projects that equip and encourage the millennial generation.  She has always had a love for acting and has completed and continues to study in acting methods and techniques.  She was supporting lead in the poignant film, “8 Days” directed by Jaco Booyens and premiered across the United States and internationally fighting the crime of sex trafficking. Katie has also appeared in several television commercials and is often featured in stage plays. She recently completed feature films “Grace Wins” and “Color Me You” due out in 2017.  She is a sought after speaker for schools, churches, events to influence other’s to fulfill their destiny and see their purpose in God’s plan for them.  Katie lives in Shreveport, LA, with her husband, Todd Walker, and their four children.

Nicole is the founder of Voice of Hope in the Darkness (www.voiceofhopeinthedarkness.com), a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about suicide through social media, blogging and podcasting. Nicole is a passionate writer and is in the process of writing two original books and a television series. Narmin Backus

Host of Sweet Conversation. Owner of Wearable Art. Stylist. Make Up Artist.

Narmin was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and moved first to the United Kingdom for 2 years before finally traveling to the United States just a few weeks after 9/11 to be with her husband, Ken. Narmin is an artist that wants to empower and adorn women. She leaned her craft--including classical art and fashion design--at the Azerbaijani State University of Culture and Art where she studied for six years. From the time she was 14 years old, she attended a private art studio where her mentor and teacher Arif Aziz prepped her for the Art Institute. The very idea to create wearable art, especially the silk scarves, her first product line in this new venture, came about as a result of her desire to help support her TV ministry “Sweet Conversations” where she and her co-host Tarana share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Muslims in such countries as Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey and Central Asia. share such subjects as peace, hope and love through their TV shows through the means of art: paintings, music, dance and heart to heart talks. Portion of the proceeds from the selling of the scarves will go to support this ministry and are greatly appreciated. She loves dance, Middle Eastern food, and to "help people in a meaningful, dignified way.”

Vernae Ewing

Vernae traveled with her family to various military bases throughout her childhood. Each military base provided wonderful family opportunities to meet new people and learn about different cultures. Her post education training garnered a BS in Marketing and Masters in Business Administration. Vernae's desire for acting resulted in many opportunities; she’s been in films including “Hilary’s America," 8 DAYS, and several short films including “Helena” and “Minutes to Memory.” A lover of reading, Vernae developed an interest in writing which resulted in co-authoring a published book called “The Treasure Tree” (www.thetreasuretreebook.com) with her father. She is currently working on the 2nd book entitled “Coming Home." Beáte grew up in the entertainment industry, where she actively started pursuing acting at the age of 4. Cheri Duckworth

Cheri Duckworth is a DFW-based, homeschooling Mom of three. She’s been married since 2000 with a supportive husband who constantly encourages her to pursue her passions. The arts, in its many forms, have played a large role in Cheri’s life. Drama and creative arts director, dancer and actress are just a few hats she’s proudly worn. Having been a member of a single church since childhood, the doors for volunteering and leadership training naturally evolved into a staff position. Grateful for a church home where she can grow and test her artistic passion, Cheri hopes to encourage others by helping curate their dreams, by identifying God’s purpose for their lives and providing an empowering environment in which to grow. Some of those exact relationships helped pave the way in Cheri’s own life. She was invited to host a local public affairs television show at Trinity Broadcasting Network, and she also serves as director of the Live Like Josh Foundation, a DFW-based scholarship program which was created in 2012 in memory of her late brother. In spite of the wonderfully busy life that Cheri already leads, she pursued and attained her goal of becoming a registered yoga instructor through Holy Yoga Ministries in the spring of last year. Joining the beautiful community of Insight is her most recent avenue of sharing love and encouraging others.

Meagan D'Von

Meagan has always been an artist at heart. It wasn't until she was lead to a career in the beauty industry after graduating from high school that she discovered her passion for creating and admiration for all forms of art. Meagan has worked as a brand ambassador for various lines including Make Up For Ever, Mac Cosmetics and Stila. Before she lead teams of artists on the sets of films, music videos and commercials, Meagan started out on photo shoots for clothing and footwear companies and fashion runway events. When Meagan is not on set, she enjoys quality time with her friends, whether that's vegging out or supporting their latest successes. She also love giving her time and talents to local charities like Embrace Grace, Help Portrait: Denton and Refuge City. Meagan has never been one to have one big dream, but many different dreams. Ainsley Ross was born in a small East Texas town with a population of less than 800. From the time she could talk she has had a passion for entertaining and encouraging others. She started acting in a small town community theater when she was 9 along with writing music. By the young age of 14, Ainsley Ross had written over 80 songs. Ainsley's first project was a feature film working with Fire Catcher Productions in a supporting role as Annie Ross in The Reins Maker. She wrote and performed music for the films soundtrack as well. Nicole has always been passionate about using art and entertainment to make a difference. From a young age, she channeled creative energy into acting, singing, dancing, and drawing. Ilonka Deaton

Ilonka began her professional singing career at age 12 when she won a national singing competition in her native South-Africa. That accomplishment resulted in her first record label deal and launched her into years of performances and casino tours. At nineteen, with a thousand shows under her belt, Ilonka moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to continue pursuing music. Her most recent record project (tenth studio album), “To Be Loved," is a Light Jazz/Adult Contemporary creation on Naxos’ Suite 28 Records. Her tumultuous journey through a childhood music career compelled her to write a tell-all book, “Keeping Secret" (2016) chronicling the abuse she survived in the South-African music industry and it has propelled her to advocate for women facing abuse. She has shared her story on the Steve Harvey Show and multiple TV networks. She founded a free women’s counseling clinic in Franklin, Tennessee to help women in crisis. She continues to sing and speak, and directs her passions to encourage audiences with her uplifting message. When she’s not on the road Ilonka lives in Franklin, Tennessee, enjoying the “bliss of life” with her husband Bill, daughter Iália, and her Yorkie. As a woman of passionate faith, her music and book truly reveals a personal journey from “What Becomes of the Broken Hearted” to having an “Extraordinary Life.”

Having started with and successfully summited Kilimanjaro in 2012, Yvonne has now attempted Aconcagua in Argentina (2014) and Mount Elbrus in Russia (2016). Yvonne has a lovely and friendly Australian Sheepdog named Ollie and looks out for every opportunity to visit her daughter, Zuzi, in Cape Town where she is doing her second year in Media Studies and Drama.

Connie Swee

Fluent in English, Malay and Chinese and born in Singapore, Connie worked in the hospitality industry and moved to Australia after marrying an Australian. She has travelled and worked extensively in China to help negotiate trade deals between SinoSteel, MinMetals and other government owned corporations and major Australian mining companies. At 21, she was a Director of a development company developing the largest retail showroom complex in Brisbane at that time. Over the years she has worked closely with her husband in property development within Australia, China, Indonesia, the Middle East and Malaysia. Together they have worked with Italy’s top fashion houses to develop high-end living. She has travelled extensively with the Global Director of Licensing of Versace to Shanghai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and many other countries and often visiting the entire team in Milan. Connie organised and financed crusades for Dr Rodney Howard Browne and Dr David Newberry in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Philippines and Australia. Her ministry also includes being a guest speaker in churches in the Philippines, Australia and America. Connie is a mother of four and works with women to unleash their potential and she hopes to be able to improve the world through education, knowledge and empowerment.

Eme

Singer. Songwritter. Musician. Blogger. Cupcake baker.

Eme is an introverted writer who definitely writes things better than she can try to explain them out loud. She is soft-spoken and gentle in her approach to providing insight and inspiration. At 13, she was introduced to AMTC, which changed her life and played a huge role in catapulting her to where she is now, currently preparing to release her very first alternative-rock album. Hand in hand with her passion for music, she has picked up a deep love for writing. She has built a home out of poetry, books, songs, and inspirational advice. Throughout high school, Eme struggled with depression and anxiety and has since used her experiences to help those who have hit rock bottom integrate back into society and accomplish their big dreams and goals.

Halyn Rose

Halyn Rose is a 15 year old girl with a purpose. Her purpose and dream is to inspire girls all over the world to be a light in this dark world. She is involved with Special Olympics and loves to be an encouragement to all the players. She has grown up acting in school and church, has written plays, competed in speech and acted alongside Kevin Sorbo and Stephen Baldwin in Unmiracle, and she recently finished filming the upcoming feature film The Order of Rights. Halyn has also worked alongside Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ (AMTC), where she is known for her inviting smile and encouraging words. She loves to make people laugh and finds that she's most happy when she can see the light of Jesus radiating through others. She is a brown belt in karate, loves photography, is teaching herself guitar and loves to run, journal and write songs. Halyn is the oldest of six and lives on a Naval Base in Baltimore, MD.

Maria Montgomery

Model. Host. Actress. Miss Kentucky 2009.

Maria Montgomery is an international model, TV/Event host, and actress. She started her career while she competed in various pageants, and eventually captured the title of Miss Kentucky USA 2009. This led Maria to compete at the internationally televised Miss USA competition, where she was named as a runner up. After her year as Miss Kentucky, she wanted to continue working in the industry and reached out to Advantage Models in Nashville, TN. This contract allowed her to learn the industry while starring in music videos with Tim McGraw and Josh Groban, as well as to walk in fashion shows for Marchesa, Isaac Mizrahi, and more. But most importantly, this agency guided her to AMTC (Actors Models and Talent for Christ) convention where she was offered a contract with Ford Models. Her life was forever changed. Although she continued to gain her masters degree in speech language pathology online, she kept following her dreams and signed with additional agencies including New View, Mc2-Miami, and Marilyn’s along others.  Some of her work includes modeling or hosting for: Garnier Fructis, Remington Hair products, Pantene, Tony Lama boots, Kohls, JC Penny, Nike, Heidi Elnora Bridal, Jockey, Artistry Skin Care, Maybelline, Oil of Olay, Carson's, Victorias Secret, and more. Maria has also been spotted on TV as a “trophy model” at the CMAs, in various commercials, and as an on-court entertainment host for the University of Kentucky home basketball games. Maria has lived in Chicago and Miami, but she now works by traveling from her Kentucky home almost weekly. She hopes each job allows her to shine a love light on as many people in this industry as possible.

Emily Dean

Emily Dean is a public speaker, writer, and life coach. She is also the founder of Verity Vareé (www.verityvaree.com), an organization whose mission is to reveal the truth about beauty through women's stories. Emily's experience as a professional actress, model, and singer/songwriter has led her on a mission to answer the question, "What is beauty?" With a history of ballet and a previous battle with anorexia, Emily is passionate about improving women's understanding of their own worth and value through her writing, speaking, and other platforms. Marijke Bezuidenhout

Actress. Dancer. Model. 

Marijke is a farm girl that at the age of 18 packed all her courage and dreams and moved to America to become a professional dancer. In America she developed a passion for film and television and got a role in a feature film called 8days. On set of 8days she also got to be a production assistant. Marijke learned so much in her average of 6 hours per day in dance class at the Millenium Dance Complex in Los Angeles and was selected to be one of the dancers in a music video for the theme song of the Rose Bowl Football’s 100th anniversary event. In high school she was a very serious 400m sprinter and played hockey for her regional team. Apart from her acting and dancing career Marijke is also pursuing her love for business as she is studying Business management through UNISA. She was a dancer in Afrikaans musical “Reik na die sterre” as well as in the Afrikaans musical “Liefling” .  She also plays the lead in several music videos of leading artists in the South African music industry. Marijke was playing the character ‘Liezl’ in the Afrikaans soap ‘Binnelanders’.

Lori Carouthers

Grammy nominated vocalist, Lori (Lewis) Carouthers, was raised in Southern Wisconsin  and is the eldest of 5 siblings. She started singing solos in her church at the young age of 6.  She attended Jackson College of ministries in Jackson MS and  began to sing with Lanny Wolfe who was the  Dean of Music at the College. She teamed with Gail George and toured with the Trio for three years. Lori received a Grammy nomination for her vocal work on the album "Can't Stop The Music". Lori has been married to Mark Carouthers for 35 years and the two have recorded numerous vocal projects and have served in full time ministry. Their ministry has taken them extensively all over the United States and several countries abroad. Lori has been privileged to wear many hats over the years. Lori has served as a Senior Pastor, Music pastor and as  Women's Pastor, conference speaker, choir director, children’s music director, singer and song writer. Lori continues to sing and speak at Women's functions locally and abroad. Her heart is to celebrate women and to give women confirmation, affirmation and direction. Lori and Mark reside in Texas and have two children and are also the grandparents of four.
